This type of flat stainless steel bar is the most common, and is used for bending, drilling and calendering, amongst other things.

This is made by shearing plate, a process in which the cutting blades ensure that the same workability characteristics within the bar remain the same as those of the plate used to make them. As a result, the material’s mechanical properties are not affected.
